As part of a recent operation, pilots of Lasar’s Group destroyed another TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” system that had been firing at forward positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Footage of the strike was shared on December 25 on the Telegram channel of the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko.
When the enemy equipment was firing, it was detected by aerial reconnaissance of the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade.
“After receiving information from our brothers-in-arms, the pilots of Lasar’s Group heavy bombers accurately struck the enemy target. The total cost of such a system is about $8 million”, — the statement said.
The TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” is a heavy flamethrower system that fires thermobaric munitions. It is designed to destroy lightly armored and automotive equipment, as well as buildings and structures.
