The respective agreement was signed by Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal and the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans. The document provides for the creation of joint production lines in both countries and financing from the Dutch side.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal.
Denys Shmyhal described the signed agreement as strategic and one that paves the way for large-scale serial production of Ukrainian UAVs.
“Production will be divided between Ukraine and the Netherlands. The drones will be purchased by the Dutch side and transferred to Ukraine’s Defence Forces”, — the Minister of Defense explained.
The cooperation will make it possible to expand production of the most effective Ukrainian models through international investments and technological cooperation.
In addition to launching production lines, the Netherlands announced the allocation of a significant financial package.
“The Netherlands is allocating €250 million for the PURL initiative”, — Denys Shmyhal noted, thanking the partners and Ruben Brekelmans personally for their unwavering support of Ukraine.
