President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with President of Finland Alexander Stubb.
This was reported in a statement on the page of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The leaders exchanged assessments of diplomatic prospects and coordinated their positions ahead of the important negotiations of the Ukrainian delegation in the United States. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the path to peace is possible only by increasing pressure on the aggressor.
PREPARATION FOR THE VISIT TO THE U.S.
The Head of State thanked his Finnish counterpart for the “almost daily coordination” and support. The key topic of the conversation was the preparation for diplomatic meetings across the ocean.
“I informed Alexander about what the Ukrainian delegation is preparing for during the negotiations in the United States, as well as about the signals we have received from the American side”, — the President noted.
The parties also exchanged up-to-date information regarding changes in Russia’s positions.
THE ONLY CONDITION FOR PEACE
Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined the tasks for the coming week, which will be intensive in terms of work with European partners.
“It is important that we have a common vision: the pressure must be on Russia as the sole cause of this war, and not on Ukraine. Only this can truly work for the sake of peace”, — the President stressed.
