Volodymyr Zelensky spent this day, as he does every day now, in consultations with partners.
The President stated this in his evening address on 27 November.
“Every day — an exchange of information, of all the data needed to determine the optimal steps.
The Russian war continues, and we all hear that Russia spits on the efforts of key world powers to genuinely end the war — with a lasting peace.
But whether there will be peace does not depend on Russia’s threats or whatever ultimatums they voice, but on the conditions the world will ensure to make it impossible to continue this aggression.
And on what we ourselves will do to defend our state, our people, our Ukrainian national rights.
Right now, equally important are our defence of positions, our resistance at the front, and our joint work with partners for stronger diplomatic positions. And everything is geared towards such work.
Our team, together with American representatives, will already this week — at the end of the week — continue bringing the points we have following the results of Geneva into a form that will pave the way toward peace and security guarantees.
There will be a meeting of delegations. The Ukrainian delegation will be well prepared and focused on substantive work.
We are already in contact with the American side and with our European friends. I am also informing our partners in other parts of the world, and I thank them for supporting our sovereignty and our state.
At the same time, we are doing everything to ensure Ukraine has sufficient defence support.
Today, an important meeting of the sanctions coordinators of European states took place. And if Putin does not want to stop, the sanctions will not stop.
The priorities are clear — to hit Russian oil, Russia’s technological components, their finances, their assets that work for the Russian war machine. The world will help us.
I thank everyone who is now pressuring the aggressor, who is protecting Ukraine from pressure. We value this greatly and see every such effort.
Next week will bring important negotiations not only for our delegation but also for me personally, and we are preparing solid ground for such talks.
Ukraine will stand firmly on its feet. It will always stand.
Thank you to everyone who helps us! Thank you to everyone who defends Ukraine as if defending themselves personally”, — the President noted.
