Why can’t the war be won with drones alone, and what role do assault units play in modern warfare? How…
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his statement, expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of those affected by today’s strikes by the occupiers and called on the international community to take more decisive action toward ending the war.
The President reported this on social media.
“Another night that proves Russia does not feel enough pressure for dragging out the war. Throughout the night and morning, our air defense forces, mobile fire groups, and interceptor drone crews were at work”, — the Head of State’s statement reads.
Ordinary cities came under attack — primarily energy infrastructure, but there were also many hits on residential buildings. Fires broke out in Zaporizhzhia, and residential buildings were hit in Kyiv. The regions affected include Kyiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, and Sumy.
“As of now, 17 people are known to have been injured. Six people, including two children, unfortunately, have been killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones”.
As the Head of State noted, Russian talk of diplomacy means nothing as long as the Russian leadership does not feel critical problems.
“And this can be ensured only through sanctions, long-range capabilities, and coordinated diplomacy among all our partners. It is already time for the European Union to adopt a strong sanctions package”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Ukraine also counts on strong sanction measures from the United States and the G7 — from all those who strive for peace.
“It is very important that the world does not remain silent right now and that there is a joint response to Russia’s treacherous strikes. Everyone who now helps Ukraine with air defense systems and missiles for them is protecting lives. We are grateful for this. And everyone who helps Ukraine with long-range capabilities brings the end of the war closer”, — the President of Ukraine stated.
