The occupied Crimean Peninsula is engulfed in problems as if by fire — and they keep multiplying.
To the already traditional issues of water shortages and the constant operation of air defense systems, a fuel shortage has now been added.
This was stated during the “United News” national telethon by Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy.
According to him, the occupiers in Crimea are not having an easy time. There is information that they have started using the Crimean Bridge to transport fuel onto the peninsula. And all because the railway they laid across the occupied territories of southern Ukraine has, after several “incidents,” ground to a halt. Cargo deliveries have stopped, and the fuel crisis on the peninsula is now quite tangible.
“In Crimea, we see that the fuel problems are quite serious, at least for the civilian population. Of course, the military don’t get their fuel from space either. And this can directly affect the units carrying out their missions. So the first problem, of course, is fuel”, — the Navy spokesperson said.
The second problem, he noted, is water. Another dry summer on the peninsula is also taking its toll — not only in agriculture, but also in everyday life. And these are not the only issues facing the occupation administration.
“In addition, of course, from time to time in Crimea, as happened yesterday, something explodes. It explodes, of course, at military facilities; there are no civilian casualties observed. Nevertheless, in local public channels one can see and hear information that air defense is working constantly — and in fact, it is working for a reason”, — Dmytro Pletenchuk emphasized.
