Liza, callsign “Fasta”, is a 19-year-old UAV operator of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Air Assault Brigade. She joined the military immediately after turning 18 and has already been performing combat missions on the frontline for almost two years, fulfilling a dream she had since childhood.

The story of the warrior was published on the page of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Air Assault Brigade.

A childhood decision and a father’s example

In civilian life, Liza worked as a tattoo artist and studied to become an investigator. However, she made the decision to serve back when she was 9 years old: “When I grow up — I will join the army”.

As soon as she turned 18, she went straight to the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center and signed a contract.

Her example was her father, who has been serving in the military since 2016.

A callsign found in silence and explosions

Fasta began her service as a communications specialist. She recalls her first combat deployment as follows:

“A new position, unfamiliar people, silence in the headphones, explosions all around. It was scary, but not to the point of running away. I mastered the fear and realized that service is my calling”.

Later, Liza learned to operate drones. Her first successful flight became a turning point:

“When you transmit coordinates, hear ‘We’re engaging’ ,and then see the threat disappear — you understand the value of your work and your role in this war”.

Service has given Liza endurance, discipline, and inner strength. Many civilian acquaintances remained in the past — instead, she gained those she now calls family.

In the 25th Brigade, Fasta does what she has wanted since childhood — she serves and protects, where she is seen as a warrior and her contribution is truly valued.
