President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a more than two-hour-long conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, which he described as “truly meaningful” and one that “can genuinely bring the end of this war closer.”

The Head of State reported this on his social media page.

“We discussed all key issues: our positions on the battlefield, long-range capabilities, air defense, and, of course, diplomatic prospects”, – Volodymyr Zelensky noted.

The President also emphasized that Ukraine’s position on ending the war remains unchanged.

“Russia must stop the aggression it started itself and is deliberately prolonging”, – the Head of State stressed.

Zelensky added that Ukraine counts on the pressure of the United States to achieve a just peace.

COORDINATION WITH EUROPEAN PARTNERS

After the conversation with Donald Trump, the President of Ukraine held separate talks with several European leaders — the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Finland, Norway, and Poland, as well as with the heads of the European Union and the Secretary General of NATO.

“I briefed them on the content of my conversation with the U.S. President. We discussed many important details. The most crucial thing now is to protect as many lives as possible, ensure security for Ukraine, and strengthen all of us in Europe”, – Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized.

The President underlined that the security advisers of the parties will soon coordinate further steps, and that coordination with partners continues on a permanent basis.

“Thank you for the conversation, for all the support, and for your readiness to stand with Ukraine”, – the Head of State concluded.
