Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met in Kyiv with Her Excellency Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates.

Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude for the significant humanitarian efforts of the UAE. He especially emphasized the extremely important role the country plays in securing the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war. “We deeply appreciate this contribution”, – he noted.
The parties discussed further steps to deepen cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE. In particular, they outlined promising areas for additional investment. Such joint projects can strengthen the security of both nations and create new opportunities for development.
“I am grateful for this visit, for the productive conversation, and for the consistent support of Ukraine from the United Arab Emirates”, – the statement by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine reads.
