Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal shared emotional images of return from Russian captivity of another 205 Ukrainians, including 185 servicemen and 20 civilians.
The head of the defense ministry published the photos on his page.
“Today, another 185 defenders have returned from Russian captivity. Welcome home! Most of the released servicemen had been in captivity since 2022. Among them are the defenders of Mariupol”, – the post reads.
In addition to the military, another 20 civilian Ukrainians returned home as part of this exchange.
“We thank each of you for your defense and heroism. We are grateful to everyone who helped bring Ukrainian defenders back”, – emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
He stressed that work to return all Ukrainians is ongoing.
“We are doing everything possible to bring home all our people from Russian captivity. We remember each and every one”, – the minister concluded.
