You might have seen that the US is already helping a lot. This is true. Ukrainians are thankful a lot. But it’s not enough for Ukraine to protect the whole world from a massive threat to humanity.
Artillery is the “bread and butter” of war. Ukraine’s “main” artillery calibers are 122 and 152 mm. The problem with 152 mm is that Ukraine DOES NOT produce ammo of this type (all it has is the legacy from the Soviet war machine).

The M982 Excalibur is a 155-mm extended range guided artillery shell. The Excalibur was developed and manufactured by Raytheon Missiles & Defense and BAE Systems AB.
Excalibur is guided through the GPS and can hit targets up to 60 km away. And in December 2020, during the tests, the US Army successfully hit the target at a distance of 70 km (43.4 mi). The weight is 44 kg, and the weight of the warhead is 22 kg (48 lbs).
Experience from Iraq has demonstrated the high accuracy and effectiveness of these weapons – 92% of hits were with an error of less than 4 meters.
There are also versions of “smart” ammunition capable of hitting moving targets.
Depending on the modification, the cost of the shell can reach over $200,000.
Currently, Artillery will play a major role in breaking through Russian lines by enabling Ukraine to strike critical military facilities such as command centers, ammo storage, and fuel depots. This military support will enable Ukraine to reclaim territory lost since February 24th and bring Russia to the negotiating table — not as a superpower throwing ultimatums, but as a neighbor willing to make real concessions. However, without additional weaponry, this war will become an endless bloodbath, spreading misery, suffering, and destruction.
