Closing the Skies: Denmark to Help Ukraine Strengthen Air Defence for the Winter
Denmark is providing an out-of-schedule 31st military aid package to Ukraine worth around USD 275 million.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence reported this on 19 September.
The funds will go towards strengthening Ukraine’s air defence capabilities during the critical autumn and winter period.
Minister of Defence of Ukraine Yevhenii Khmara thanked his Danish counterpart Jeppe Bruus for delivering on the agreements reached in a telephone conversation earlier that week.
“Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Denmark has remained one of the leading providers of military assistance to Ukraine and has consistently developed new, effective formats of cooperation. We are grateful to Denmark’s government and parliament for their principled stance and support for Ukraine, particularly against the backdrop of Russian hybrid attacks and provocations against our allies. Together we are stronger,” the Ministry of Defence said in its statement.
As ArmyInform reported earlier, Minister of Defence of Ukraine Yevhenii Khmara held a telephone conversation with his Danish counterpart Jeppe Bruus.
