Artem Romaniukov has been appointed acting head of the Defence Procurement Agency.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported this.

The decision to appoint Artem Romaniukov was made by the Supervisory Board of the Defence Procurement Agency.

The new head has many years of experience working at Prozorro. He also served as Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries and worked at the Ministry of Defence on transitioning procurement to competitive and electronic procedures.

Artem Romaniukov also took part in launching the Reserve+, Army+, electronic reporting and military registration document digital services.

Among the new head’s key tasks are continuing the transition of defence procurement to competitive procedures, further digitalizing processes and strengthening anti-corruption mechanisms.

The Ministry of Defence notes that ensuring uninterrupted supplies to the Defence Forces remains a priority. Key areas include increasing procurement transparency, ensuring the efficient use of budget funds and reducing corruption risks.

The day before, on August 31, Arsen Zhumadilov, by mutual agreement, ended his tenure as Director of the Defence Procurement Agency. The Ministry of Defence thanked

him for his work.
