Ukrainian defense company FirePoint produces about 200 long-range strike drones per day and can quickly increase this output.
The drones belong to the FP-1 and FP-2 families, designed for deep strikes on Russian territory.
“Right now we calmly produce about 200 aircraft per day, and we can very quickly double or triple these capacities”, — said Denys Shtilerman.
The FP-1 drone now carries a 105-kg warhead at a range of 1,000 km.
Another model, FP-2, is designed for strikes up to 200 km from the front line and after modernization will carry a 158-kg warhead.
Developers have already changed seven generations of navigation systems during the war.
They are currently testing GPS-independent guidance using terrain image matching.
“We implemented map-matching using a cheap night camera. This will allow flights without GPS and precise strikes on targets”, — Shtilerman said.
The company’s production is distributed across more than 50 sites throughout Ukraine, allowing rapid recovery even after strikes.
