Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on the challenges for Ukraine and partners, as well as on our ability to help protect lives and stabilize the global market.

“The Iranian regime, which is trying to preserve itself despite everything, creates obvious threats to all states in the region as well as to global stability.
No state near Iran can feel safe. Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has practically stopped.
So far the Iranian regime does not demonstrate a real intention for honest diplomacy or fundamental changes”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
According to him, Ukraine is holding consultations both with partners in Europe and the United States and with countries neighboring Iran.
“Yesterday I spoke with the leaders of the UAE and Qatar. Today there were already conversations with the leaders of Jordan and Bahrain. There will also be talks with Kuwait and other countries in the region.
All of them face a serious challenge and speak about it openly: Iranian strike drones — the same ‘Shaheds’ that have been attacking our cities and villages and our Ukrainian infrastructure throughout the years of this war”, — the President noted.
According to his data, more than 800 missiles of various types and more than 1,400 strike drones have already been used by Iran in several days.
“It is Iranian drones and missiles that are the key threat to free navigation, and this destabilizes prices for oil, petroleum products and gas around the world.
Ukraine can help protect lives and stabilize the situation. Partners are addressing us about this”, — the President said.
He instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine together with intelligence agencies, the Minister of Defense, our military command, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council to present options for support for the respective states and to provide assistance in such a way that it does not weaken our own defense here in Ukraine.
“Our military possess the necessary capabilities. Ukrainian experts will work on the ground, and teams are already coordinating this.
And we are ready to help protect lives, protect civilians and support real efforts to stabilize the situation and restore, in particular, safe navigation in the region”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured.
He added that Ukraine expects the European Union, European states and the Group of Seven to be active both in eliminating the terrorist capabilities of the Iranian regime and in protecting lives in the region and global stability.
