On the night of February 3, Russians launched a targeted strike on energy facilities. The enemy attacked Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv regions and the capital, as well as Dnipro, Odesa, and Vinnytsia regions.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strike in our regions are ongoing. Once again, it was a targeted strike specifically on energy facilities: the Russians used a significant amount of ballistic missiles combined with other missiles — more than 70 — and 450 strike drones. As of now, nine people are known to have been injured”, — he wrote.
According to him, residential buildings and energy infrastructure were damaged. Fires broke out in high-rise buildings in Kyiv after drone impacts, and a kindergarten was damaged.
“To use the coldest days of winter for terror against people is more important to Russia than using diplomacy. And this very clearly shows what we need from our partners and what can help us. Timely delivery of missiles for air-defense systems and protection of normal life is our priority”, — the President emphasized.
He stressed that without pressure on Russia, the war will not end.
“Right now Moscow chooses terror and escalation, and therefore maximum pressure is needed. I thank all partners who understand this and help us”, — Zelenskyy concluded.
