“Raid” operators destroyed valuable counter-drone radars of the occupiers
Operators of the 413th Regiment “Raid” of the Unmanned Systems Forces detected and destroyed the “Garmon” and SKVP radar stations, which the enemy uses to counter Ukrainian UAVs.
Footage of the combat work was published by the 413th Regiment.
- “Garmon” (the portable version 1L122E-1 was hit) — has a target detection range of up to 40 km and a detection altitude of up to 10 km. Its characteristics are superior to those of the SKVP, but this radar is less mass-produced.
- SKVP (Russian: Sistema kontrolya vozdushnogo prostranstva — Airspace Control System) — designed to detect UAVs at a range of up to 20 kilometers. Such radars operate in conjunction with operators of Russian anti-aircraft drones. The enemy deploys them no closer than 5–7 km from the front line, and positions are equipped in lowlands for better camouflage.
Each strike against the “Garmon” and SKVP radars expands the operational space for the Defense Forces of Ukraine to conduct UAV operations of various types, including deep strikes against enemy territory.
