In 2022, training lasted 30 days. In 2025, it already lasts 51. This provides more time for practical training and gradual adaptation to service conditions.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this on December 18.

The content of the program has also changed. Trainees work more with weapons, master tactical medicine, and learn to operate as part of a group.

The focus is on interaction, cohesion, and teamwork.

Modern technologies have also been added to the training: the use of UAVs, digital systems, simulators, and after-action reviews (AAR).

“This format of basic combined arms training helps better adapt to service in a unit. The changes strengthen the military”, — the Ministry of Defense stated.
