An-26 and two key Russian air defense radars destroyed in Crimea: Special operation of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, units of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (HUR MOU) carried out another strike on the enemy’s critically important military targets, destroying an An-26 military transport aircraft and two radar stations of the Russian army.
This was reported in a publication on the official page of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence.
Strike on the occupier’s aviation
During the night of 10–11 December 2025, Russian troops were preparing to launch a multi-purpose An-26 military transport aircraft on the territory of the temporarily occupied peninsula. The aircraft’s engines had already been started, but it failed to take off.
Operatives of the HUR special unit “Ghosts” carried out a precision strike on the left turboprop engine, effectively preventing the aircraft from performing its combat mission and destroying a valuable aviation asset of the enemy.
“Blinding” the Air defence systems
As part of the same operation, Ukrainian intelligence operatives successfully struck two radar systems of the Russian army:
- the 55Zh6M Nebo-M radar;
- the 64N6E radar, concealed inside a protective dome and designed to support the operation of S-300 and S-400 systems.
The destruction of these stations significantly reduces the enemy’s ability to control the airspace and cover its surface-to-air missile systems on the occupied peninsula.
