On the night of 28 September, the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with the insurgent movement in the Russian Federation Chernaia/Chornaya Iskra — “Black Spark”, carried out special operations that resulted in two critical elements of the enemy’s air‑defense system being put out of action.
This was reported by the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine.
“In the Rostov region the Buk‑M3 surface‑to‑air missile system and the NEBO‑U early‑warning radar station were reduced to scrap metal. The value of each of these systems is measured in several hundred million dollars”, — the report says.
It is noted that the Buk‑M3 is capable of engaging targets at ranges of up to 80 km, while the NEBO‑U can detect fighter aircraft at ranges of up to 400 km.
“Both systems posed a major threat to the operations of Ukraine’s combat aviation in the frontline area and interfered with Ukrainian deep‑strike strikes, but these particular complexes — will no longer do so. Ukraine’s SOF continue to deliver heavy and critical blows to the enemy that, step by step, bring about Russia’s complete exhaustion”, — the SOF said.
