Russian occupation forces are attempting to regroup on the left bank of the Oskil River but have achieved no success near Kupiansk.
This was stated on the air of the national telethon “United News” by Viktor Trehubov, Head of the Communications Directorate of the Joint Forces Group.
“There is certain pressure; the enemy has become more active in Sumy Oblast near Hrabovske. There is also pressure in the Kupiansk direction, attempts to compensate and correct the situation into which they themselves have driven themselves. And, of course, pressure remains in the Lyman and Vovchansk directions”, — Viktor Trehubov said.
According to him, remnants of Russian forces are being cleared in Kupiansk itself — it is only a matter of time.
“Near the city, primarily on the left bank of the Oskil River, the Russians are regrouping and applying pressure on our forces, but without any success for themselves”, — the spokesperson added.
Viktor Trehubov also reported that around one hundred Russians are present in the Hrabovske area in Sumy Oblast, attempting to expand the controlled zone around the settlement. However, this concerns a small area — hundreds of meters, not kilometers.
“The actions taking place there are clearly at the tactical level. Why exactly there — there is no clear explanation. Possibly, they wanted to carry out an information provocation”, — he noted.
