Manipulative “infographics” and posts are spreading online, particularly on TikTok, claiming that Ukraine is allegedly selling electricity abroad while residents of many cities remain without power.
This was reported on December 15 by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
“At the same time, such posts do not mention the reasons for power outages, which is a typical manipulation.
The Ministry of Energy has repeatedly emphasized that Ukraine does not export electricity. All available generation is currently directed exclusively to meeting domestic needs.
The spread of such narratives is a typical example of an enemy information operation. Its goal is to sow distrust, provoke internal conflicts, and destabilize the situation within the country.
In reality, the only reason for power outages is Russia’s systematic terrorist strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Differences in the scale and duration of outages between regions are explained by the fact that the enemy deliberately attacks not only generation facilities but also power transmission lines connecting regions”, — the CCD said.

The situation on the Pokrovsk axis remains difficult. The enemy is attempting assault operations both day and night, taking advantage of unfavorable weather conditions, and periodically tries to advance in fairly large groups.
