A weapons marketplace, DOT-Chain Defence, has launched a rating system: servicemembers can now rate drones they ordered and leave reviews about their use in combat conditions.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The new option will help units make more informed choices — decisions will be based not only on technical specifications but also on real combat experience.

Each authorized user can give a rating on a five-point scale — from 1 (unsatisfactory) to 5 (excellent). Reviews may note both advantages and disadvantages of the drones, specifics of their use in field conditions, ease of operation, build quality, resistance to interference, and so on.

At present, only servicemembers can see the ratings. Later this capability will be made available to manufacturers as well. This will help them communicate directly with customers and respond to fighters’ comments.

The rating system was added at the request of the servicemembers who first took part in the pilot project. Overall, this is only the first step among the proposals collected during visits to brigades and surveys of military personnel.

Recall: the Ministry of Defense’s decision to implement DOT-Chain Defence has simplified procurement and given units greater autonomy. Now servicemembers can order the UAVs they need without lengthy approvals and paperwork — just a few clicks in the system. Financial, legal, and logistical processes are handled by the Agency for Defense Procurement of the Ministry of Defense, which has significantly reduced delivery times. The average delivery time is 10 days. Over two months of operation, units have ordered nearly 17,000 drones for approximately UAH 600 million.
