Representatives of six countries discussed new projects for Ukrainian aviation and the creation of a fund to accelerate their financing in Kyiv.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported this.

During a meeting of the Secretariat and working groups of the Air Forces Capability Coalition, the partners reviewed the Coalition’s work, identified Ukraine’s current needs and discussed further steps to strengthen aviation capabilities.

The participants also held a separate meeting with Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Serhii Boiev, as well as with a working group headed by Lieutenant General Anatolii Kryvonozhko, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force.

The Coalition’s work is focused on five key areas of support for Ukraine:

  • developing and improving aviation infrastructure;
  • training aviation personnel;
  • ensuring the operation and support of existing aviation capabilities;
  • strengthening the helicopter component;
  • expanding defence-industrial and military-technical cooperation.

One of the key issues discussed at the meeting was the creation of the Air Forces Capability Coalition Fund.

The mechanism is expected to enable more effective coordination of joint efforts by the partners, attract additional funding and accelerate the implementation of priority aviation projects.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine expressed its gratitude to international partners for their consistent support and joint efforts aimed at further strengthening Ukraine’s aviation capabilities.

As ArmyInform reported, Ukraine and Italy discussed steps to strengthen Ukrainian air defense.
